Welcome!

Our accommodation for the next five days was located on the main street, the Lower Gardiner Street, directly in the city centre of Dublin (North City). Because of its convenient location, you can easily reach Trinity College, Connolly Train Station or the river Liffey for instance by foot. The guesthouse is located between a huge block of houses. When you stand in front of it you may have the feeling it almost reaches to the sky, because it is higher than broad. After such a thrilling trip ( on 18th June 2017) we got a cordial and heart warming welcome from the personnel there. Our expectations satisfied, because also the interior furnishings were pretty much the same like you can see it in Irish films or documentaries for example. Inside there are two bigger common rooms with large armchairs, huge chandeliers and on the corridor (connecting the two buildings of the hostel) you can find shelves full of books, a computer and a cozy reading corner for relaxing. Furthermore, you can find those typically fluffy and thick carpets in every room.

The rooms were really nicely done up and clean as well. There we double bedrooms, three- and four-bedrooms - all had included an own little bathroom, a spacious wardrobe and a table. We assume such size of a room, implied its interior, is everything you need within a week of staying in a city. Aside from, our rooms were cleaned every morning when we left the house. In the end we can wholeheartedly recommend the Anchor B'n'B - and not because it is much cheaper than other accommodations there in the city of Dublin.

We definitely need to add that we got a typical Irish and very delicious breakfast there. Our tip:  Try all different varieties of eggs, for example: scrambled eggs, boiled eggs or fried egg. Among others there is offered a small buffet catering for all tastes.
